iPad español: Saurik explica por qué jailbreak debe seguir siendo legal

En enero se hablo de que la EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation), necesitaba la ayuda de todos para conseguir que el jailbreak continuara siendo legal, indicando un link de la oficina del Copyright para mostrar su apoyo.

La fecha limite termino el 10 de febrero y la Oficina de Copyright y Patentes, ha publicado recientemente las entradas recibidas, en concreto son unas 700 y algunas de ellas con grandes nombres como Saurik.

Jay Freeman, conocido como Saurik en el mundo Jailbreak, es el creador de Cydia, el envió 6 paginas con opiniones y pruebas de porque debe de seguir siendo legal el jailbreak. Aquí tenéis un extracto de lo que comento:

In ordersaurik to bypass these restrictions, some developers have taken it upon themselves to help users escape the “jails” in which they feel manufacturers have them trapped. The resulting tools allow consumers of closed devices to install software from arbitrary parties and with no technical limitations. Depending on the device community, and the exact level of control granted, different terms are used for the process—”bootloader unlock,” “rooting,” “jailbreaking”— though the overall result is the same.
